Welcome to Walk In The Light Ministries!

Walk in the Light Ministries was originally founded to bring relief to Romanian refugees around the world. In 1989 its focus shifted to providing shelter and hope to Romania’s orphaned and abandoned children. The first orphanage was established in Dornesti in 1991. We housed and cared for 14 children in the first year.

Walk in the Light Ministries founded a second location called The Children’s Village at Livezile in 1995. Today, all 50-55 toddlers, teens and young adults are cared for at the Livezile location.

Over the years, more than 150 children have been housed, cared for and shown the love of Christ at these locations.

Our ongoing mission is to provide safe housing for these children, good food and clothing, adequate medical care and spiritual guidance.

Before changing Romanian laws, we cared for children of all ages; now we care for toddlers through young adult.  Many of our young people decide to remain with us as staff members to help provide new children with the same chance at life that they have received.
